At The Sequel, we believe in full transparency about the condition of every item sold on our platform. To help you make informed purchasing decisions, we’ve developed a clear and consistent classification system that describes the physical and functional condition of each product.
Each item listing will include one of the condition labels below. If you ever have questions about how a specific product is categorized, our team is available to help.
1. New
Items in this condition are unused and unworn, with no defects or signs of wear on the item itself. They may include original tags or packaging when available. Because many of our products are sourced through liquidation and returns, the outer packaging may occasionally show minor cosmetic wear or be missing, but the item inside is new and unused.
2. Excellent
These items show virtually no signs of use and remain fully functional. They may be open-box, or may have been removed from packaging and handled for inspection and photography, so tags or original packaging may be missing. The item is clean, undamaged, and in excellent structural and visual condition.
3. Very Good
Products in Very Good condition may show minor, superficial signs of wear such as faint scratches, creases, or small marks. They remain fully functional and presentable, without damage that affects use or aesthetic value.
4. Good
Good condition items have moderate signs of use, which may include more noticeable marks, scuffs, or color fading. These are still usable, intact, and structurally sound, though clearly pre-owned. They’re ideal for customers looking for value over perfection.
5. Fair
Items labeled Fair will exhibit significant visible wear. This might include fraying, stains, discoloration, or loosened structure. All products are still functional but are best suited for users who are comfortable with imperfections or intend to repair/restore.
6. For Parts Only
Items labeled For Parts Only are sold for repair, restoration, or salvage. They may be non-functional, incomplete, or significantly damaged, and are sold strictly "as-is." These items are not returnable and are best suited for experienced buyers who intend to repair them, reuse their parts, or repurpose them.
